What a pod kit actually saves against sealed disposables over one month, three months and a year, using current prices.
Setting up a fair comparison
The cheapest vape to buy and the cheapest vape to run are rarely the same device, and the gap between them only shows up over time. To compare honestly we use one vaper, a moderate one on about 7,500 puffs a month, and price everything from the current listings on this site. Puff counts are the manufacturer figures; real use is 10 to 20 percent lower across the board, so the ranking does not change even though every device lasts a little less than the box says.
Month one
Sealed disposables cost what they cost and nothing more. A month on IGET Bars is about $53.57; on IGET Goats about $52.43; on Bar Pros about $36.00; on IGET Ones about $21.88. The pod kit is the outlier in month one, because you buy the device: a Bar Plus kit at $39.95 comes with one pod, and you will need about one more at $29.90 before the month is out.
Months two and three
From month two the kit is paid for and you are buying pods only. At 0 puffs a pod, a moderate vaper uses a little over one pod a month, so the running cost is around a month. The disposables carry on at the same monthly figure as month one. By the end of month three the pod kit has caught the IGET One and is well ahead of the Bar; by month six it is ahead of every sealed device in the range.
A year
Multiply the monthly figures by twelve and the spread is stark. A year on IGET Bars is roughly $642.86. A year on Bar Pros is roughly $432.00, on IGET Ones $262.50. A year on the Bar Plus is the kit plus about twelve pods, roughly $39.95 plus . The larger devices close most of the gap on the pod system; the standard disposable does not.
What the maths leaves out
Three things. First, flavour fatigue: the cheap-per-puff devices lock you into one flavour for a month, and a pod system lets you change flavour every pod. Second, convenience: a sealed disposable never needs charging, and for some people that is worth the premium. Third, the risk of loss. Losing a $25 Bar is an annoyance; losing a large rechargeable with most of its liquid left is a bad week.
A practical path is to use the Bar or Goat to settle on flavours, then move to a Bar Pro, IGET One or a Bar Plus kit. The bundles and cartons in the Wholesale range cost less per device than singles of whichever you choose.
